Clinical Research
Our Clinical Research Division conducts an array of observational natural history studies and interventional trials that aim to improve diagnostic and treatment outcomes for Service Members with traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Since inception, we have funded 58 and have collaborated in 33 clinical research studies. These studies are conducted at a variety of local and national military treatment facilities, Veterans Affairs medical centers, and civilian medical centers. Our research is primarily focused on military participants with TBI; however, civilian participants and persons without TBI are also included when appropriate.
Support for our funded and collaborative clinical research is facilitated by the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) and the clinical core facilities.
